How much does it cost?
If you haven't already noticed the "Powered by Microsoft Office Live" logo at the bottom of our home page, check it out. What it means is that we are being hosted by Microsoft as part of the Office Live beta. Office Live will officially be live on November 15. The biggest benefit that Office Live provides is free domain name registration and hosting on Microsoft's server for as long as I want to keep our Office Live account. I'm currently beta testing the Office Live Essentials, which will cost about $40.00 per month after the 15th, because of the additional "business applications" provided. I was going to keep the Office Live Essentials account active until a few days ago when I found Microsoft Accounting Express 2007. The marketing hype is "everything you need to make your small business idea flourish." From what I've seen so far, they actually seem right about it. So, what does all this mean for Campari? Well, in case you haven't guessed yet, we definitely fit the "small business" category and, like all small businesses, we currently have a limited budget. As a result, I'm trying to do as much as possible using the free services available on the Internet. It is proving to be an interesting and slightly challenging way to run a company, but so far it seems to be working.
